$400 billing cap for most returns

We understand that 2020 was a tough year for many, and tax preparation costs are the last thing you need to be worried about right now. Our tax preparation is generally billed at $200 per hour but, for 2020, we are putting a $400 cap on the billing for most personal tax returns. This cap is not applicable to individuals who are self employed, have farms, have foreign income, or have foreign assets. There are also a few items that will increase the billing cap to $500: rental income, cancellation of debt income, RSUs/ESPPs/Options, and capital gains that aren’t reported to you on a 1099-B.
